29th November 2007: With snow now settled on the top of the Tourmalet, we thought it was time to award this year's prize. So a big congratulations to James Ward of the Cambridge Cycling Club for his phenomenal time of 1hr03:55, which he cycled back in June of this year. It will certainly be a tough one to beat in 2008! Congratulations also to Tina Burrows (now living in sunny South Africa) who achieved the top women's time this year with 1hr40:38.

The Col du Tourmalet is perhaps the scariest and most rewarding climb in the Pyrenees. We have set a challenge, for any visitors brave enough, to get the best time climbing from Sainte Marie de Campan to the top. There's a prize for the best time each year.
