Winter Sports

Skiing in the Pyrenees is fun, affordable and free from the crowds. The season runs from December to April, with a wide range of different resorts and activities to chose from near by. Stay with us to be close enough to enjoy skiing or snowboarding, whilst also being able to get out walking, cycling or sight-seeing away from the snow. And with our transfer service, you don't need to worry about driving in the snow or transporting your equipment.

Different resorts - the ski stations of Saint-Lary, Peyragudes, Val Louron, Piau Engaly, Luz Ardiden, Luchon-Superbagneres, Hautacam, Bareges and La Mongie are all within an easy drive of the house. The resorts are much quieter than the Alps and are extremely competitively priced, with ski hire from around ten euros a half-day and ski passes at about 25 euros per day.

Winter activities - as well as skiing and snow boarding, a winter holiday in the Pyrenees could also involve sledging with dogs, hiking or climbing, downhill sledging, paragliding, canyoning, cross-country skiing, driving snow-mobiles, raquette walks, horse riding or of course a simple snowball fight. Let us know what you would like to do and we will organise the activities for you and provide transfers to and from the sites.

Transfer service - The various ski stations are an easy hour drive away through beautiful countryside if you chose to bring or hire your own vehicle. Alternatively, we will provide transport to and from the slopes or cable cars each day, while our trailer and ski racks can carry your equipment. A drying room will make sure your skis and boots are ready for the next day's skiing, while our laundry service can ensure you have warm, dry clothes each day.
